The pro app is great. Im working in a building where a worker on a swing stage is using a rotary hammer on a structural column next to my desk. After measuring the sound level I purchased hearing protection. Hearing loss is no joke. I used to run a CNC Router, 127 DB. My wife thought I wore the hearing protection to avoid hearing her yelling at me. I explained I was wearing hearing protection so as to preserve my hearing for just those special moments. I also named my sailboat Si Quedida.
In a sound booth it registered 51 db. After calibrating to lowest level. Waste of money
Worthwhile
The app seem nice, but as having to pay for it, it was a rip-off because it was offered as an APPSONFREE selection. For several hours, every time I tried to download it, I received a message stating that it was being modified. I tried to write a review and complain, couldnt unless BOUGHT IT! When I was finally able to down load it after purchasing it, I got to write ths review.
I installed this app and it seemed fine until I made the mistake of tapping on the number 1 in the upper right corner and was asked to rate the app. Now I cant get back to the app itself.
Having fun with my very loud family
In a quit room it still reads 40 to 50. Not much good
No landscape mode on the ipad. Really?
Sound level meters are high cost items, and so I jumped at the chance to have one via a low-cost app. In addition to general interest use, it was quite helpful in evaluating noise level in cars. It is a keeper.
It is showing that normal conversation is 90db. This is not working for me.
Always knew the wife and kids where giving me head ache and now I know why, there way over 120 db x that buy hours of exposure , way over the guide lines listed , and is dangerous to ones health ,
I work in the aviation industry, and this app is very useful. The clear, easily read display makes detecting hazardous noise situations easy. My wife likes using this app in the classroom, where it makes it easy to give students feedback on their noose levels.
The meter showed 50 Db in a total quiet environment. Dont waste your money on this one.
I have no idea how technically accurate or precise it is but it certainly gives me the relative sound pressure levels I want to measure. I havent had any negative issues to date.
Well it has colors and does some standard measuring of sounds but....every time i try to export the data the program closes itself with no follow up. Refund please
It’s good to use this app from time if you value you ears. It’s easy to use. It can give you a new perspective on sound.
Save your money and storage and frustration.
